Robert (Bob) Robles, L.Ac.

I am NCCAOM board certified in acupuncture.  I am classically trained, having graduated* from the New England School of Acupuncture** in 2000 with a concentration in Japanese meridian therapy style acupuncture.  National board certification is the qualifying standard for state licensure; I have been licensed by the State of Connecticut Board of Health (as a Licensed Acupuncturist) since 2000.

My preferred method is applying the treatment principles of a pre-classical acupuncture lineage (Tung Ching-Chang via Richard Teh-Fu Tan) to modern complaints of pain management and digestive disorders. Almost all needling is applied to arms (and hands) and legs (and feet). Also, most complaints will be addressed by making changes in diet and lifestyle according to the theories of Traditional Chinese Medicine

I have found that while most complaints presented by my patients concern pain, there is most often an underlying mental/emotional/spiritual issue. I expect that those seeking my help will be candid and forthcoming in our conversations as the treatment I provide yields the best healing outcomes for active participants rather than passive recipients.

*My program of study was designated as a “Master’s Level Diploma” comprised of approximately 2000 hours of classroom and clinical training in three calendar years.
